Step 3: Ball & Foot Control
Some players struggle with dropping the ball on to the right place on their foot. This little drill with a tennis ball is great to practice with and gives you instant feedback when trying to hit the middle of your foot and kick straight.
EQUIPMENT YOU NEED:
- Tennis ball or a tennis ball on a string
FOCUS POINTS:
Follow the steps below to help improve your technique.
- Try and hit the middle of your foot and get the ball to go straight
- Point the toe and concentrate on hitting the middle of your foot each time.
- A variation of this technique is to use a normal tennis ball and practice kicking it against a wall and catching it. Work on kicking it in the middle of your foot and the ball will come back to you straight.
